October Rising.

Welcome to Photoparley Dublin, a real place where Photographers who are serious about their photography can meet to discuss and debate issues relating to their own work and gain valuable feedback and support from others.

Here is how Photoparley will work
One evening ,six times a year, eight Irish based photographers will meet to show our current work in progress,to six other Photographers plus two other non photographers, such as a filmmaker, a storyteller, artist or curator or graphic designer to discuss their project and any issues relating to the development of those projects.Only one rule: you must bring something that you can talk about for about 15 minutes, a project/work in progress or something visual that may be the thing that inspires you
or intrigues you at the moment. It could be a contact sheet but must be printed on paper.

Here is what Photoparley is NOT
Its is not an organization or association for photographers.
It's NOT an 'online' discussion on photography.
It's not a place to vent the frustrations about the state of photography today

Here is what Photoparley is
It is a small group coming together to review work in progress six times a year.
It is a coming together as people who are passionate about Photography and who value photography.
It is for those of us who are engaged in finding outlets and creating a dialogue about serious projects with photography and the exciting new developments in the medium.
Its IS openly elitist, in that Ireland needs its photographers and photo artists to raise the perception of photography to a higher level of understanding about its role in the world of arts, culture and the media today.
It is future focused in terms of the way photographic artists are working in new ways across various media today.
It is sharing of ideas opportunities and ambition for doing world class projects.
It is a safe area to share the fear, doubts and uncertainties that are part of every artistic project.
It is a way to explore interesting new perspectives on your photography projects
It is a place where worldwide opportunities for artists and photographers can be shared in relation to particular projects.
It is about taking photography seriously.
If you can demonstrate you are working on some interesting project, you can send an expression of interest to attend.
